Moscow Sheremetyevo traffic up 16.7% in 2011

3 Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) served 22.6 million passengers in 2011, 16.7% more than 2010. Traffic on international routes increased 18.1% and reached 14.5 million. Traffic on domestic routes was 8 million, up 14.3% over 2010. Russian carriers with the highest growth at the airport were Aeroflot, Transaero, Nord Wind, Air France and Turkish Airlines. The most popular foreign destinations were Antalya, Paris, Istanbul, Prague and Beijing. The highest demand was on the St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar and Yekaterinburg routes.
