Sukhoi Superjet 100 gains EASA type certificate

Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft has been granted its type certificate A-176 from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for meeting airworthiness and environmental requirements. The certificate will be presented to Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Co. (SCAC) Feb. 24, the manufacturer said in a statement. The European validation program comprised several flights and ground tests.
